Control Systems Engineer for the Management Program

In the role of control systems engineer for the Management Program, you will primarily be responsible for control systems issues in projects within the management measures program. You will also work on updates and the development of new Technical guidelines for control systems. You have knowledge of control systems and understand how the systems are structured. As a control systems engineer, you will also work with methods for quality assurance of control system deliveries, so we appreciate your ability to maintain order and clarity in stations, installations, and documentation.
Examples of tasks:
- Write technical descriptions and review documentation as well as participate in testing and commissioning.
- Make assessments between different technical solutions together with our contractors, keeping timelines and deadlines.
- Have an overview of our management projects and be a link between our consultants and employees working on management projects.
- Participate in the work of updating and developing new Technical guidelines and Standardization for control systems.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop in the field alongside several senior colleagues and have good opportunities to work with both the latest technology and older equipment. You will experience a wide variety of project types and the tailored execution that follows. Opportunities for internal and external courses will be offered.
The Control Systems Technology and Management unit is responsible for control system management and project-related issues within the management measures program.
The unit owns TR02 and TR01-18 and represents the Station Technology department in the ISO55000 management groups for Control Systems and local power/auxiliary power. The unit actively works to create standard constructions and standardized building blocks and contributes to establishing a standardized structure for control systems.
The unit also works with spare parts management and supports preventive and corrective maintenance for the control systems area. An example of this could be deciding what should be tested and the intervals for testing, as well as acting as support for the UH supplier during testing and corrective maintenance.
The unit currently has 13 employed technical specialists and 2 resource consultants.
About you
Required qualifications
Projects in the management program can vary greatly in scope and design. It is important to be solution-focused and creative. To thrive in this role, you need to easily adapt to the conditions that apply to the specific project and collaborate well in a structured manner with internal and external colleagues to achieve the common goal.
We want you to have a YH, civil or university engineering degree with a focus on electrical power, energy systems, or equivalent. You may also have acquired relevant skills in other ways that the employer assesses as equivalent. We also want:
- You are communicative and express yourself well in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Hold a B driver's license.
- Have several years of experience working with control systems for transmission networks at 130–400 kV or hydropower stations (>40 MW production/station).
- Have experience working in project form.
Desirable qualifications
- Familiarity with Svenska kraftnät's technical guidelines for control systems.
- Experience in testing or commissioning.
- Experience in design and documentation, as well as knowledge of relay protection systems, control equipment, remote control, automation, auxiliary power systems for transmission networks.
- Experience in installation work.
