Do you want to work with complex mechanical design where precision and reliability are crucial? We are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer who wants to take on technical challenges within the defense industry.

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be an important part of a customer assignment within the defense industry, stepping into a central role with responsibility from initial requirements management and specification to design and final documentation of advanced components and systems. Your daily work involves driving the design process forward by developing and optimizing mechanical concepts while constantly balancing advanced functionality against manufacturability requirements.

You will apply your technical expertise in practice by designing solutions with a particular focus on machining, sheet metal, and casting, where you choose the technical methods that best meet the unique challenges of defense materials. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the integrity of the systems by ensuring the highest quality in every detail and proactively working with quality assurance, while also contributing to the further development of existing products to meet future needs. All work is carried out in a modern system environment using Siemens NX for design and IFS for efficient product data management.

Your technical background

• Master's/Bachelor's degree in mechanics or a related field.

• Mechanical designer with at least four years of work experience in R&D.

• Knowledge and experience with Siemens NX (CAD) and IFS (PDM).

• Good communication skills, fluent in Swedish and English.

• Experience in designing for machining, sheet metal, and casting is a plus.

The assignment is within a security-classified area, and a security clearance is required as part of the recruitment process, along with Swedish citizenship.
