System Administrator – VertiGIS AB, Staffanstorp

VertiGIS AB is the Swedish part of the VertiGIS Group – a global organization with customers in over 50 countries, more than 5,000 companies using our products, and approximately 600 employees internationally. In Sweden, we are around 90 colleagues distributed across three offices, with our headquarters in Staffanstorp.
We are now looking for a system administrator based in Staffanstorp, as our current system administrator is moving on to the role of IT manager.
About the role
As a system administrator, you will have a broad responsibility for the operation, support, and administration of the VertiGIS IT environment. The role is both operational and developmental and involves close collaboration with the business. You will work with:
- Operation, administration, and further development of servers, network equipment, computers, and software
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and applications
- Troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to hardware, software, and networks
- Ensuring a stable, secure, and well-functioning IT environment
- Documentation of systems, procedures, and technical solutions
- User support to varying degrees

Requirements for the position
Language requirements
- Swedish and English – required, both spoken and written
- German – meriting
Technical competence requirements
Server & system administration
- Microsoft Windows Server administration in larger environments
- Active Directory, Entra, and Microsoft 365
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Citrix administration
- Virtualization (vCenter, vSphere, Hyper-V)
- Backup solutions, preferably IBM TSM or equivalent (meriting)
- Microsoft Defender (meriting)
- Automation and scripting, e.g., PowerShell (meriting)
Network & security
- Very good networking skills
- Understanding of IT security, firewalls, and VPN tunnels (Site-to-Site, Peer-to-Site)
- Experience with Check Point, FortiGate, Cisco, Palo Alto, or equivalent (meriting)
- A strong security mindset
- Experience in managing IT infrastructure in accordance with ISO 27001.
Hardware & infrastructure
- Support of the IT environment's hardware such as servers, switches, computers, mobiles, printers, and peripherals
- Experience with Fibre Channel and SAN (meriting)
Other tools and systems
- Citrix NetScaler (meriting)
- MDM platforms, e.g., Intune
- Monitoring systems such as Nagios (meriting)
We are looking for someone who
- Has 5–7 years of experience in system administration, IT operations, IT support, or a similar technical role, or equivalent competence
- Has a high school IT/technical education or equivalent
- Higher vocational education in IT support, operations, or system administration is meriting
- Is self-driven, proactive, and responsible
- Is service-oriented with good communication skills
- Is structured, analytical, and meticulous in your work
- Has a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Citrix, ITIL) are meriting.
