Leisure Educator/Teacher in Leisure Home at Ås School

Welcome to apply for the position of leisure educator/teacher in the leisure home at Ås School, a F-6 school in Nora municipality with approximately 150 students. Ås School is located just outside central Nora. The school is part of the principal area 4 together with Järnboås School.

You will work alongside ambitious, competent, creative, and development-oriented colleagues and meet happy, friendly, and motivated students in a beautiful school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and implement meaningful and fun activities for the children based on their needs and interests.
• Promote integration and inclusion by creating a meeting place where different personalities, needs, backgrounds, and cultures are respected and valued.
• Collaborate with other staff in the leisure home and school staff to ensure a holistic view of each student's development and needs.
• Maintain close cooperation with guardians to create good communication and engagement in children's leisure activities.
• Develop and implement educational methods and activities that promote children's creativity, social skills, and learning.
• Teach in class during school hours based on your qualifications/competence or serve as a resource in class.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable and who easily connects with students and guardians. As a teacher in the leisure home, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and contribute to a calm and safe school environment. A prerequisite for succeeding in the role is that you have knowledge of children's development and learning as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and conditions.

To be eligible for a permanent position, you must have a degree as a leisure educator/teacher in leisure home or equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. If the specified qualification is lacking, the position will be temporary during the spring term.
