About the position

At Rynningeåsen Preschool, you will work with other educators in the team to drive the pedagogical work forward. Our preschool works project-oriented, with a common thread based on the curriculum and the children's curiosity and interests guiding the direction in the departments.

Our unique location close to nature provides us with excellent opportunities to utilize nature in teaching and play. We have an outdoor profile and a strong focus on sustainable development. We strive to give children positive experiences and to develop a gentle approach to being outdoors in nature. Since much of our teaching and education takes place outdoors, it is important that you, as a preschool teacher, have an interest, knowledge, and a willingness to work with outdoor pedagogy.

Examples of tasks:

  • be familiar with and follow the curriculum, laws, policies, and routines
  • lead, organize, plan, implement, and develop the teaching
  • be responsible for documenting, following up, analyzing, and developing the education
  • use methods and approaches in education based on scientific principles and proven experience
  • work to ensure that each child and the group’s needs are met, by applying a democratic approach
  • provide a good environment for care, development, play, and learning
  • be responsible for the content, design, and implementation of development talks
  • work and document in the operational system

About the workplace

Rynningeåsen Preschool is located in the Rynningeåsen area of Örebro. The preschool is divided into five departments: Upptäckarna, Utforskarna, Äventyrarna, Spejarna, and Letarna, with a total of about 90 children. Our unique location, close to forests, water, and the nature reserve around Rynningeviken by Hjälmaren, offers fantastic opportunities to take advantage of nature's many possibilities for learning and play. At the preschool, we have our own kitchen where our chef prepares meals from scratch, placing great emphasis on organic ingredients.

There is a well-established structure for collegial learning and PUT so that the teams can offer the children the best opportunities for development and learning.

Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, approximately 4530 employees work. We meet the young people of Örebro from their first day in preschool to their last day in primary school. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in their role and has a good understanding of how others absorb knowledge based on different circumstances. You take responsibility for and are active in the teaching and pedagogical development at the preschool. Inspiring children and capturing their interests to build upon in your teaching is something you see as a given. It is important that you can manage the changes that occur daily and in general at the preschool through good collaboration with children, colleagues, and guardians, as well as through an organized approach.

Furthermore, you must have a good command of the Swedish language to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, and to document what the operations require in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

Requirements

  • licensed preschool teacher, or hold a qualifying degree that entitles you to a license

Meritorious

  • experience working as a preschool teacher or in similar tasks
  • education in or experience of outdoor pedagogy
  • education in or experience of Guiding Interaction (ICDP)
  • education in or experience of TAKK (sign language as alternative and complementary communication)
