Description

We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of developing a team for intensive investigations together with two family therapists and another social worker for children and youth aged 0-18 years.

Together, you will develop the working methods, focusing on providing parents with support to meet children's needs for care in families where social services assess that there is a high degree of concern. The direction of the work and services is part of the development in the authoritative work with children, youth, and their families.

You will have your position in the unit for Children, Youth, and Families, and your position, like others in the team, will be directed at a scope of 50%. The unit consists of 16 social workers, three senior social workers, an administrator, and a unit manager. The unit also includes other services aimed at placement in protection and crime prevention work to maintain high competence and method development.

In this position, you will receive training in Signs of Safety (SofS) and safety planning. We are also developing our work based on, for example, Parent at a Distance and MPV in close collaboration with our nearby units within the IFO operational area. We are preparing to work in a simplified model of 3 phases.

As an investigative social worker in the Children and Youth Unit, you will be part of an engaged group with a very good team spirit, where we thrive and care for each other. Our supervisors contribute with security and stability based on experience working with children and youth as well as within Kungälv Municipality.

You will receive methodological support, both individually and together with the group, as well as external process guidance. You have the opportunity to work remotely. As an employee of Kungälv Municipality, you will receive a wellness allowance.

Job Responsibilities

You will investigate the needs for support and protection of children and youth aged 0-18 years and their families, as well as follow up on interventions according to SoL, LVU, and LBSB. A particular focus for you in the intensive investigation team is to find and develop working methods, as well as collaboration with other actors to meet the specific needs of children, youth, and parents in each individual family.

This position may involve travel with overnight stays and the ability to intervene in situations where immediate actions are needed. The assignment may also involve other scheduled working hours, such as evening shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work and experience in authoritative work with investigations of children and youth aged 0-18 years. We want you to have a clear child perspective in your work and see it as self-evident that children should be involved based on their conditions, age, and maturity.

We are looking for someone who can see the opportunities in complex social work, has an easy time collaborating, and has a high degree of independence. You are structured, clear, and have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. We see it as self-evident that you are responsible and engaged and consider quality through legal certainty to be of high importance.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Meritorious is training in Signs of Safety and experience with Treserva.
