I live my life with double assistance around the clock, which means you will always work together with a colleague.

I have an acquired brain injury from an accident. Today, I also have a ventilator. I communicate with body language and my eyes.

It is important for me that you have a positive attitude towards life in general, a good sense of detail in your work, and the ability to follow routines.

It is a plus if you are a person with good initiative.

You need to have good language skills in Swedish so we can easily understand each other and avoid misunderstandings.

My assistants work in double assistance, with varying working hours: days, evenings, and every other weekend.

We have varying lengths of shifts, meaning varying working hours.

I enjoy events, movies, everyday training, and generally being in social contexts.

Calm evenings at home are also nice and necessary for me.

I would like to be able to travel to my apartment on the Spanish Costa del Sol, so your job may also involve working in Spain for a few weeks a year, of course with good planning and foresight.

My assistants transfer me using a ceiling lift/aids. I have a power wheelchair, but it is important that you do not have any physical issues.

It is an extra merit if you have experience working with a ventilator.

I am looking for someone who is creative and curious. I prioritize applicants with long-term ambitions for the position.

The position is initially a temporary employment to get to know each other but offers you a fixed-term employment as long as the assistance assignment lasts with a working rate of 75%, if we get along well.

GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. The cooperative has a legacy from the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Normally, the person entitled to assistance is the closest manager of the assistants, or a person with special knowledge about the person entitled to assistance is appointed.
