School Counselor Wanted in Falköping Municipality

We are now looking for an engaged and secure school counselor who wants to help develop the school's psychosocial work in close collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues. What can we offer you?

As a school counselor, you are a central part of the school's student health team and work closely with the principal, school nurse, school doctor, school psychologist, and special educator/special teacher. Together, you drive a joint student health effort focused on promoting, preventing, and early interventions at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

In this role, you will work with:

• Conversations, support, and guidance for students
• Collaboration with guardians
• Supervision and support for educators in psychosocial issues
• Mapping, analysis, and follow-up of social and psychosocial needs
• Active work in the school's attendance group with a focus on preventive and remedial measures
• Collaboration with external actors such as social services, outreach services, and cultural and recreational activities

You contribute your professional expertise in suggesting strategies, methods, and working methods that strengthen the school's student health efforts and promote a safe and inclusive school environment.

• Is structured, proactive, and solution-focused

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience working as a school counselor
• Have worked with children and young people in social work or social services
• Have experience collaborating with external authorities and actors

As a person, you are attentive, unpretentious, and secure in yourself. You see differences as an asset and approach challenges with curiosity and professionalism. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
