We are looking for you who want to work as a social worker in the area of economic assistance and employment for our investigation unit.

The Economic Assistance and Employment area is responsible for investigating the right to economic assistance for the two districts of Northern Inner City and Kungsholmen. We are located in new, fresh premises in Garnisonen on Östermalm. We are about 40 employees who together offer citizens good accessibility and are service-oriented with the client in focus.

The Economic Assistance and Employment area is led by a district manager and two unit managers. We consist of two units, a reception unit and an Investigation Unit. The reception unit is the first contact for economic assistance and employment and receives all new visits. The Investigation Unit consists of social workers and benefit administrators who work with follow-up and planning to support clients towards self-sufficiency. Benefit administrators, by supporting in the administrative work, enable you as a social worker to focus on social work.

We Offer

With us, it is important to focus on competence development and organizational development, which is why we offer training in MI, FREDA -short questions, the city's assessment instrument Initial Assessment, FIA (Conditions for Work), basic training in economic assistance and neuropsychiatric disorders, as well as other continuing education. As a social worker, you will also receive external supervision monthly.

Your Role

With us, you will work with social change and motivational work for individuals who, for various reasons, are without their own means of support. As a social worker, you are responsible for investigating, assessing, and making decisions about the right to economic assistance in accordance with current legislation.

In your role, you will meet, support, and motivate clients on their path to self-sufficiency. You will follow up on interventions and work solution-focused together with the client. You contribute to an evidence-based practice where theory, experience, and the client's perspective weigh equally.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in social work
• Solid knowledge of current legislation
• A good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, as an important part of the work consists of documentation and communication.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with economic assistance.

You are structured and organize your work effectively. You are flexible in your work and act professionally. You relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with other professionals, always with the individual in focus. You enjoy working in a team and are interested in contributing to developing the group's competence and work community. You have a holistic view in your assignment and consider the larger perspective. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
