JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a controller within Kiruna municipality, you will be part of the municipality's central financial management unit and work as financial support to the Social Administration. You will be responsible for budget work, financial follow-up, and annual accounts in close collaboration with the heads of the administration and operational managers.

Your role includes analyzing financial outcomes and results as well as developing and refining models for resource allocation and follow-up. You will participate in the preparation of interim reports and annual reports and be a presenter in financial matters before political bodies. As a controller, you will also serve as a qualified support in the daily financial work within the Social Administration.

Additionally, you will contribute to strengthening the financial competence within the administration by participating in internal training and information sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a university degree with a focus on economics, good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Your focus is preferably financial management, and you are passionate about seeing the big picture in what you do.

You are used to working independently but enjoy collaborating with others. You seek solutions instead of problems, are analytical, outgoing, and flexible.

We expect good communication skills in both speech and writing, and great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as teamwork ability, communication, and pedagogical skills.

Experience with the financial system Unit4 Business World is an advantage, as well as having worked in municipal operations or with financial management in large organizations.
