Labor Relations Negotiator
Do you want to help develop Piteå Municipality's employer policy while contributing to societal benefit? We are now looking for a Labor Relations Negotiator for the HR department.
The HR department is responsible for support and governance within the employer policy area, such as labor law, wage formation and conditions, work environment, as well as leadership and employee relations. We work to ensure that the municipality is an attractive workplace with a strong employer brand and well-functioning operations. The department is part of the municipal management administration, consisting of 16 individuals with diverse competencies who together provide coordinated and professional support to managers and leadership throughout the organization.
Job Responsibilities
As a Labor Relations Negotiator, you will work with the application and interpretation of both legislation and central and local collective agreements. Through qualified support and advice in labor law and employer policy issues, you contribute to enabling the municipality's managers to exercise their delegated managerial responsibilities in a large and complex organization. You will also be an important support to colleagues in the HR department. With your expertise and experience, you contribute to development and learning by participating in development projects as well as through training initiatives and similar activities.
You will work with both strategic and operational issues of varying scope and complexity, alternating between independent work and collaboration with colleagues. The job involves contacts with managers, colleagues, and union representatives. In your role, you will face challenging and pressured situations where a professional approach is essential. You keep yourself updated on what is happening in the external environment, e.g., changes in laws, directives, and investigations within the labor law area.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with an academic education in labor law, law, or HR, or other education combined with experience we consider equivalent. You have several years of relevant experience in qualified work with labor law and employer policy issues. You have worked with labor law and negotiations, preferably in the public sector. It is important that you have the ability to plan and drive work forward both independently and in collaboration with others to achieve results.

You have the ability to act independently and strategically. You are proactive and skilled at adapting your approach to those you meet. Furthermore, we want you to have good analytical skills and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.
