Job Description

As a Mechanical Designer, you will work on the design of hulls and platforms in advanced marine systems. The work includes design in steel, welding, sheet metal, and beams, as well as the development of internal structures such as floor and beam systems, decks and hatches, fire protection, and wall structures. The role includes both detailed design and the creation of drawing documentation for production.

The work takes place in a CAD environment with Creo and Windchill and involves close contact with several technical areas such as purchasing, calculation, production, and other design disciplines. During the production phase, it may also involve managing changes and adaptations as well as contributing to design related to existing systems.

In summary, the role involves:

Working on the design of hulls, platforms, and internal structures
Creating detailed designs and drawing documentation in Creo/Windchill
Collaborating with several technical functions during development and production

About the Candidate

We are looking for someone who wants to further develop as a Mechanical Designer and has a genuine interest in technology and design. You thrive in an environment with many contact points and work in a structured and responsible manner.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, machine engineering, or product development
At least 1 year of experience in CAD design
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the security protection law, which requires Swedish citizenship and a clean criminal record

Meritorious:

Military background
Practical experience or interest, such as welding or mechanical work
Experience with home projects or technical creation, such as 3D printing
