We are now looking for a Shift Leader Restaurant and Reception for the hotel Scandic Mölndal.

What does the role of Shift Leader Restaurant and Reception entail?

As someone working in our restaurant, you are the first the guest meets, so it is of great importance that you have a warm approach and are attentive to details and the guest's needs. You have a burning interest in food and beverages and enjoy order and tidiness, both in your own and your colleagues' work. All to provide our guests with a fantastic dining experience. Your main tasks will be to serve food and drinks and to be responsible for your own cash register. You will also partially work at the reception, where you will be the spider in the web and ensure that each guest receives world-class service. You check in and out guests, manage bookings in Opera Cloud, work with sales, security, and administrative tasks. You keep track of arrival lists, guest requests, and ensure to create personal experiences – always with a smile and a solution-oriented attitude.

In the role of Shift Leader, you are responsible for hospitality for the entire hotel both towards guests and employees. In addition to being part of the operations, you have an overall overview of the guest flow in the restaurant and reception and together with the team ensure to prioritize tasks so that the operations run smoothly and guests are satisfied. You lead and distribute work and manage staffing during your shift. If necessary, you will have the opportunity to train new employees at the hotel and you also relieve the Restaurant Manager and Reception Manager with certain administrative tasks.

Who are you?

To fit the role, we believe that you have at least one year of experience in similar work as well as experience in concept-driven operations. You have both the ability and willingness to work with operational leadership. You are confident in your leadership and have both integrity and sales drive. Most importantly, however, are your personal qualities and your attitude. To fit the role, you need to be a good team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall results. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests.

Information about the position:

The position is a permanent employment of 80-100%

The position involves varied working hours with shifts distributed over days, evenings, and weekends.
