Chef, Restaurant Operations at Läckö Castle

Seize the opportunity to work in Sweden's most beautiful workplace, where meals, cultural heritage, and stunning nature are always present. Our restaurant is located in Naturum Vänerskärgården - the Victoria House, which was completed in 2013. The building is a symbolic gift to Crown Princess Victoria on her 30th birthday and houses a restaurant kitchen, dining room, InfoPoint/reception, 15 guest rooms, as well as an exhibition in Naturum Vänerskärgården. Our meal operations draw inspiration from the nearby surroundings. The classic kitchen, fine local ingredients, and the unique Castle Garden create a common thread where the historic Läckö Castle serves as inspiration and stage for our dining experiences.

Job Description

We are looking for you, a chef or meal creator who wants to help create fantastic dining experiences with us! Are you a driven person with a genuine interest in gastronomy and knowledge of food quality? Then this might be the right role for you!

As a seasonal employee with us, you will be responsible for the daily operations in the kitchen together with the rest of the team. You will work closely with your colleagues and always strive to create the best possible experience for your coworkers and guests.

Your main areas of responsibility

• Be part of the kitchen's daily operations alongside the head chef and sous chef.
• Be independent in your role
• Ensure high quality in food handling and follow applicable hygiene routines
• Be a good and inspiring colleague who contributes to a pleasant working environment
• Work based on premises regarding sustainability, local and/or organic ingredients, and waste reduction.

About You

We are looking for someone with a great passion for cooking and the well-being of the team. You thrive in a dynamic environment and have the ability to inspire both guests and colleagues in your work. You are also humble and ready to support all areas of the kitchen and restaurant as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef or in a similar gastronomic role within the restaurant industry
• Experience and ability to work with menus based on sustainability, local and/or organic ingredients that both impress and surprise our guests
• Experience in handling stress during our peak season in the summer.
• Quality-conscious, innovative, and always seeking improvements
• Evening and weekend work is included in the position, with scheduling adapted to the needs of the business and the season.

Extent: 75%

Employment Type: Seasonal employment from March to October with the possibility of extension.

Location: Läckö, Lidköping

Start Date: Spring 2026, by agreement
