Make a Difference. Every Day.

Do you want to work in an environment where you truly make a difference? With us in forensic psychiatry, you have the opportunity to work deeply and long-term with patient care. Here, safety and quality are combined with compassion, commitment, and strong community.

Forensic psychiatry in Skåne provides specialized psychiatric care for patients who have been committed to forensic psychiatric care by the courts. We are about 400 employees, and our operations include inpatient and outpatient care with units in Malmö, Trelleborg, Helsingborg, Hässleholm, and Kristianstad.

We are currently in a development phase, with an increased focus on outpatient care, expanded collaboration with Skåne's municipalities, and a focus on the content of care. The area of operation (VO) forensic psychiatry is part of the management of Psychiatry, habilitation, and aids.

Many of the patients have psychotic disorders, multiple disabilities with functional impairments, and dependency issues. Secondary complications such as lack of formal education, social isolation, and ostracism are common.

The goal of forensic psychiatric care is to habilitate patients back into society and reduce the risk of reoffending.

At the Forensic Psychiatric Center (RPC) in Trelleborg, there are four departments, one department with space for nine patients and three departments with fourteen care places primarily intended for patients who have been committed to forensic psychiatric care. We have an ISO-certified management system for quality and work environment.
