The habilitation clinic for children and youth caters to children and adolescents up to 17 years old with permanent, congenital, or acquired disabilities and their families. The children and adolescents may have mobility impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism. The operation is based on a cross-professional team approach where medical, psychological, educational, and social competencies collaborate. Our working method is person-centered, which means that we strive for the child to be involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer you as a physiotherapist a broad and varied position that involves helping children, adolescents, and their parents to achieve the best possible conditions for a well-functioning everyday life. Your tasks will include assessing and providing interventions for children and adolescents with delayed and/or atypical motor development, which also means that you will assess the need for, prescribe, trial, and follow up on medical and orthopedic technical aids. You will participate in educational efforts and provide information and guidance on motor training in daily activities, play, and sports. Interventions can be provided individually and/or in groups.

In your work, you will meet patients both in our facilities, in their homes, and at preschools/schools, which involves travel as part of the job. In addition, you will participate in the planning of interventions together with the child, adolescent, and parents, as well as other important people in the network. A significant part of the work is to collaborate with other actors such as preschools/schools, children's clinics, assistive technology services, orthopedic technical services, social services, and more.

- The work is very flexible. As a physiotherapist, I have the opportunity to work in different areas, but also to specialize in certain diagnoses. It is definitely an operation where I can develop, not least through guidance from experienced physiotherapist colleagues as well as introduction and support in my work, says Alice, physiotherapist.

The working hours are scheduled during the day with evening shifts one evening a week when we are open until 6:30 PM on Mondays.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physiotherapist with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is a requirement. Since travel is involved in the job, a valid B driver's license is also a prerequisite. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with children and youth and/or working with individuals with permanent disabilities. It is also desirable to have an interest and experience in working with various IT systems and an openness to digital healthcare contacts, e-health, and 1177.

Since we work in teams, it is a prerequisite that you recognize the importance of and contribute to good collaboration. In your role, you will also have close contact with both family members and other organizations, which requires good communication and collaboration skills.
