We are looking for a Construction Manager in rock and civil engineering for an authority within traffic.

This is a multi-year consulting assignment. The stationing location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The Construction Manager for rock is responsible for planning and construction management of rock and civil engineering contracts for tunnels and stations. The role involves supporting project managers, construction managers, design managers, and specialists in design, procurement, implementation, and follow-up of contracts.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design of technical solutions, method selection, production planning, logistics, and cost estimation.

Participate in procurement and preparation of tender documents for contractors.

Ensure that contracts are executed according to agreements, including technology, time, quality, economy, environment, work environment, and safety, and report accordingly.

Daily contact with contractors to facilitate collaboration, provide information, make decisions, and ensure uninterrupted production.

Identify problems and provide advice before decisions on preventive measures, corrections, and financial settlements.

Follow up and document changes and additional work (ÄTA) as well as quantity deviations.

Collaborate and coordinate with other construction managers regarding contracts, risks near facilities, blasting near tracks, and vertical shafts >25 m.

Maintain the client's diary and review the contractor's diary, quality work, risk analyses, and work preparations.

Participate in construction, design, KMA meetings, environmental inspections, safety rounds, inspections, and site visits.

Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Monitor that work is carried out within applicable permits, approvals, and traffic plans.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

At least a high school education.

At least 10 years of documented work experience in underground production in tunnels or caverns (rock and civil engineering).

At least 5 years of documented experience as a construction manager in tunnel projects (site supervisor on the client's side) with responsibility for leading, directing, and following up contractors' performance (progress, time, work environment, quality, etc.) in civil engineering contracts.

At least 5 years of documented experience working with risk analysis and vibration-generating work in rock and civil engineering contracts with sensitive environmental impacts where work has required temporary housing or accommodation for residents and businesses.

Documented work experience from at least one contract in a role in projects as construction manager, production manager/leader including production methods with drilling/blasting for the execution of vertical shafts in rock with shaft depth >25 m in at least one contract.

Desirable

Documented work experience from at least two contracts in execution where the systems Construction AMA and MER have been used.

Documented work experience from at least one contract with concrete work in tunnel projects with responsibility for leading, directing, and following up contractors' performance (progress, time, work environment, quality, etc.) in civil engineering contracts.

Documented work experience from at least one contract with a role in projects as construction manager, production manager/leader including production methods with raise boring and shaft sinking for the execution of vertical shafts in rock.
