Lawyer at the Public Procurement Agency

Would you like to work at an authority with a significant mission – to promote sound public procurement for a sustainable future? We provide support and disseminate knowledge in public procurement and state aid to various actors in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. We are also a statistical authority responsible for collecting, developing, managing, and disseminating statistics on public procurement.

We are now looking for one to two lawyers

to work primarily within the agency's Inquiry Service, where we answer questions from contracting organizations, suppliers to the public sector, media, and other actors who contact us. We provide support within the procurement regulations, practices, and sustainability aspects, as well as questions regarding state aid.

What will you work with?

In the role of lawyer at the Inquiry Service, you will have direct contact with the agency's target groups. You will provide support by investigating and answering questions that may arise during the procurement process, via phone, chat, and the Inquiry Portal. You will also participate in the agency's other assignments based on your role as a lawyer. This includes developing and quality assuring the agency's support to external target groups, responding to referrals from the government, and preparing materials to support the Government Offices, the investigation sector, and other actors. You will also represent us in various external contexts and give lectures at conferences and seminars.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a law degree
  • good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and procurement-related issues
  • very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as well as good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • practical experience in procurement
  • experience in providing support and disseminating knowledge in legal matters
  • current experience of legal work in procurement law from a law firm, court, authority, company, or other organization.

About you

To succeed in this role, you need to be solution-oriented and service-minded. You have a very good ability to quickly grasp legal and complex issues, always with the recipient in focus. To make complicated legal matters easy to understand, you need to have a pedagogical ability. Furthermore, we would like you to be socially interested and curious about the opportunities in public procurement. Other important qualities are collaboration skills and the ability to help where needed in a humble manner. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment

We are looking for one to two employees for permanent full-time positions starting as soon as possible. A probationary period applies. Placement in the Department of Legal Services, where the agency's lawyers working with our external assignments are gathered.

The Public Procurement Agency is a modern authority that gathers a wide range of competencies. Today we are about 70 employees. We have a flexible workplace with access to bright offices in Solna Business Park, close to public transport.
