Team Leader in Property Management and Operations

The Community Building Administration consists of the departments for environment and construction, technical operations, and municipal properties. The administration has about 200 employees. We are a relatively new administration that is in an exciting development phase and has a broad community building mandate.

The Municipal Properties department has about 80 employees and manages approximately 147,000 m2, with certain operational and maintenance responsibilities for leased premises. We manage the municipality's operational facilities such as schools, preschools, sports facilities, swimming pools, cultural buildings, and buildings with various forms of housing, etc.

You will be part of the property management and operations unit along with, among others, operations technicians, carpenters, electricians, property technicians, and property managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will, together with other professional groups, represent municipal properties and should therefore have a natural ability to create and maintain good contacts.

The position of team leader means that you will lead and support seven property technicians and two carpenters. As a team leader, you will among other things:

  • plan and follow up on daily work such as rounds, maintenance tasks, SBA, error reports, and order assignments.
  • coordinate training and safety rounds.
  • plan and approve leave and participate in our improvement work.
  • conduct regular meetings with your own group and participate in other internal and external meetings as a representative for your group.

The role also includes performing practical property technician tasks as needed. You report to the unit manager for property management and operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a YH education in property management or other equivalent experience that provides corresponding competence.

You are an orderly and structured person who works efficiently and likes to keep things organized. You are communicative and meet tenants, suppliers, and other contacts in a professional manner. The role suits you if you enjoy taking responsibility and initiative, and have good social skills and a service-oriented approach. To succeed as a team leader, it is important that you are confident and stable in your role and have a good ability to collaborate with others.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in the property industry, preferably within public operations. Previous experience in various leadership roles is seen as a positive. We place great emphasis on your ability to create and maintain structure, including documentation. Previous experience with various property systems is advantageous. We expect you to handle IT support in your daily work and that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
