Operations Manager for Villingsberg
The Fortifications Agency is looking for an operations manager for Villingsberg! Your Everyday Life - Leading Operations and Maintenance of Defense Properties
The Fortifications Agency's property portfolio consists of both buildings and large training and shooting ranges located throughout Sweden. The Central Region covers eight counties from Dalarna and Gävleborg in the north to Östergötland in the south. The Villingsberg Operations District is responsible for operations in both Villingsberg and Kristinehamn, including the Villingsberg shooting range and camp, as well as other nearby facilities within the property portfolio. In addition to managing and operating our own properties, we provide additional services to our clients.
As the operations manager, you will be responsible for the operations team, which consists of eight operations technicians. We have a strong sense of community and a wide range of skills and work experience in the field of operations. The role is broad and requires strong leadership skills and a high degree of service orientation towards our clients. The following areas of responsibility are included:
- Personnel responsibility, workplace safety responsibility for subordinate staff. Responsibility for overall competence supply.
- Results and budget responsibility.
- Plan, manage, develop, and follow up on operations and be part of the region's management team.
- Responsible for procurement, ordering, and follow-up of purchased services within the operations assignment.
- Responsible for active and updated operational planning, follow-up, and analysis. You will be the point of contact for our property managers and ensure that agreed tasks are carried out.
Travel is required for this position.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university/engineering degree or vocational education or other relevant education. Alternatively, you have work experience in property management complemented by training in property management that can be assessed as equivalent.
We also want you to have several years of experience in operations management, preferably in a supervisory role within the property sector or a similar industry. You have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language and administrative IT systems, especially within the property sector, are a Swedish citizen, and have a driver's license, class B.
It is advantageous if you have previously worked as a manager and with budget and forecasting work. If you have training in economics and/or law and have completed relevant leadership training, that is also a positive. Additionally, experience in security-classified work and work in public administration (including knowledge of the Public Procurement Act) is also advantageous.
Your personal qualities are very important to us, and we will place great emphasis on personal suitability, where an important aspect is that you are security-conscious. Other qualities you need for this position are that you collaborate well, are analytical, creative, and thrive in an environment that encourages finding new solutions to problems. Your administrative skills are high, and you enjoy juggling multiple tasks simultaneously. You communicate clearly and handle stress constructively, as well as having a very good ability to lead others and create understanding of the common goal.

About the Employment
The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a military position. The place of employment is Villingsberg. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security screening with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
