LaxåVärme AB is a wholly-owned municipal company owned by Laxå Municipality. LaxåVärme AB was established on July 1, 1997, when the district heating operations of Tivedsenergi AB were purchased. The company produces heat for approximately 200 customer facilities. The production is about 35 GWh/year. LaxåVärme has 4 full-time employees and 2 hired for standby. The company has been environmentally certified since 2016. LaxåVärme's fuel usage in 2024 amounted to 98.6% fossil-free fuels in the form of briquettes and pellets.

Description

LaxåVärme AB is in an exciting phase, the company is building a new boiler to be able to burn moist wood fuel in the form of chips, bark, and forest residues. The boiler is to be completed in the spring of 2026 and will replace our largest briquette boiler.

Responsibilities

  • Operation, supervision, service, and development of our production facility
  • Planned and corrective maintenance as well as repair and renewal work.
  • Participate in efforts to improve and optimize technology and processes.
  • Work according to the laws, regulations, and policies that concern the facilities.
  • Service and replacement of customer centers.
  • Operation and maintenance of distribution networks, meter changes, as well as other tasks within the company.

The work places high demands on collaboration and quality awareness as well as a flexible working approach and holistic view. The tasks require you to be analytical and have good organizational skills. You should be able to take your own initiatives and you will work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an operations technician education (preferably KY/YH), or another similar technical education. Or experience working in the energy sector, process industry, or similar. For the job, you need to have good computer skills.

Meritorious

  • Knowledge in the areas of control and regulation technology and computerized operation monitoring.
  • Experience with work in EDP and Ready.
  • Electrical authorization.
  • Experience with similar tasks in power or process industry.
  • Experience mixing and loading chips, bark, and forest residues with a wheel loader.

Requirements

A driver's license (B) is required for the position.
