Region Västernorrland has decided to elevate the first-line assignment for children and young people aged 6-17 with mild to moderate mental health issues as a special assignment within Primary Care. The service meets children and young people from across the region both digitally and physically, with our clinics located centrally in two towns, Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik. We are now looking for a psychologist for the Child and Youth Entrance in Sundsvall. The position is a one-year full-time temporary contract, with start date to be agreed upon. We highly value teamwork to manage our mission and develop our service together.

Psychologist for the Child and Youth Entrance, Region Västernorrland

• As a psychologist with us, you will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside social workers and occupational therapists with the special assignment of first-line psychiatry for children and young people within Primary Care. The goal of the service is to prevent more severe mental health issues through early interventions. Clinical work includes assessment, treatment, psychoeducational work, referrals, and collaboration.
• In this role, you will also provide consultation to other collaborative partners within the region and municipality who work with and meet mental health issues.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed psychologist
• Has at least 1 year of experience in psychological treatment, preferably with children and young people under 18 years
• Has good knowledge of NCS Cross
• Has a valid driver's license (B)

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience working with patients in psychiatry
