Site Manager at ISS in Stockholm
ISS is one of the world's largest service companies and soon we will celebrate 80 years in Sweden! With over 6500 employees in the country, from north to south, we deliver services that make a difference. We offer our customers everything from cleaning to technical services, food and workplace services. We create workplaces where people thrive, companies grow, and where sustainability is a given – socially, environmentally, and economically. Our employees are the heart of what we do – and crucial for our customers to feel safe, seen – and for their workplaces to flourish.
For our business serving medium-sized customers in Stockholm, we are looking for a service-oriented and committed site manager who wants to develop people and customer operations. We offer you a challenging role in a company and industry that is constantly evolving!
About the Role
As a site manager, you have overall financial responsibility and personnel responsibility for your sites. Our delivery includes a wide range of ISS service offerings such as cleaning, reception, and maintenance. The role requires you to be present in daily operations and have a clear sense of what is happening on-site, both in the customer's environment and in your team.
In this role, you are also responsible for local customer relationships and ensure that work is conducted in accordance with applicable customer agreements. Together with the customer, you drive continuous improvements and actively work to develop and enhance the quality of ISS delivery. Here you have the opportunity to take the site from good to one of ISS's absolute top deliveries.
For us at ISS, leadership is a central part of success. Through your engaged and clear leadership, you are expected to create good conditions for your employees to develop, thrive, and perform. As a site manager, you lead the operations towards set goals in close dialogue with the customer, the team, and your immediate manager. An important part of the role is your ability to build strong, effective, and collaborative teams that achieve results together.
You are responsible for ensuring that the operations are optimally staffed and dimensioned. At the same time, you are unpretentious and naturally take on what is needed in the moment, whether it involves practical tasks, supporting operations, or solving unexpected situations. You lead by example through engagement, presence, and joy in work.
Ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with laws, agreements, ISS policies, and our values is a given for you.
You will be based at the customer's headquarters in central Stockholm and will be part of the management team along with two other site managers and the Key Account Manager.
The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date as soon as possible and begins with a six-month probationary period.
We Offer
You will work closely with competent colleagues from whom you will gain great value, as we care about helping and developing each other. ISS's size and broad service offerings contribute to good development opportunities both nationally and globally. Our focus is on taking care of and developing our employees, as we believe that “People make places.” ISS offers training and development opportunities – all to engage you and help you grow with ISS in the long term.
We highly value diversity and inclusion. At ISS, all people are equally valuable and have the same rights and opportunities. Our employees reflect the diversity of society, which is both a competitive advantage and an asset in our long-term sustainable work. Our inclusive corporate culture strengthens our employees, makes us more creative and productive, and creates a more attractive workplace.
ISS's values, which are fundamental to how we work, are quality, responsibility, honesty, entrepreneurship, and community. Therefore, it is important that you feel that you represent a way of working and an approach that is in line with these.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for you who are a driven, communicative, and present leader with a natural ability to motivate and engage your surroundings. You inspire the team to reach (and preferably exceed) set goals while creating an environment where both people and operations develop.
To succeed in the role, you have a strong will and ability to identify and create new business opportunities. You are self-driven, unpretentious, and thrive in a daily routine where you can both develop structures and processes. You are not afraid to take on what is needed and lead by example through engagement, clarity, and decisiveness.
You have a genuine interest in people and the value of good service. The work involves many personal contacts both within ISS and with the customer, which makes your collaboration skills, responsiveness, and professional way of building trust particularly important. You are skilled at developing long-term relationships and creating teams that collaborate effectively, enjoy working together, and deliver high quality.
The role includes a clear financial responsibility, so it is important that you have a good understanding of finance. You are comfortable analyzing results, following up budgets, and taking the right actions to ensure a well-functioning and profitable operation.
We see that you have a high school education and experience in leadership, finance, personnel issues, and customer relations. Experience from a labor-intensive service industry is meritorious, as is previous work in cleaning, reception, catering, or other areas within Facility Management. You express yourself very well in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing, and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other common IT environments.
Above all, you share our passion for delivering first-class service to ISS customers, every day!
