Do you want to contribute to better health for everyone?
The Department of Global Public Health is an interdisciplinary institution aimed at deepening knowledge about how the health of populations can be improved at local, national, and global levels.
Many of the department's researchers serve as scientific advisors to authorities and other decision-makers at regional, national, and international levels. The department is responsible for three international master's programs, and researchers actively participate in teaching at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
Our research group is called Community Nutrition and Physical Activity, focusing on health-promoting eating habits and physical activity among children and youth, one of the greatest public health challenges of our time. Our research includes epidemiological studies of determinants of eating habits and physical activity, as well as the development, implementation, and evaluation of interventions aimed at promoting health equity and preventing obesity and chronic diseases both in Sweden and globally.
