Support Assistants for Group Housing under LSS in Tanum Municipality

Tanum Municipality is seeking support assistants for group housing under LSS.

The positions are permanent employment with a workload of 80 or 100 percent. Start immediately or as agreed.

The operation is a group housing with special services according to LSS, aimed at adults with disabilities. The housing currently includes 12 apartments and will be expanded with a new apartment connected to the LSS group housing in Tanum.

Due to this expansion, we are looking for a total of seven (7) support assistants who will work with a care recipient in the new apartment. We are now looking for new employees who, together with us, want to contribute to a good quality of life for our residents.

Job Responsibilities

As habilitation staff/support assistant, your primary task is to create meaning, independence, and personal development for the residents. Using a pedagogical and creative approach, you work to promote the residents' quality of life and an active everyday life based on individual needs and conditions.

The tasks vary depending on the resident's health, functional ability, and individual goals. You are expected to follow established work routines, participate in collaboration, operational, and workplace meetings, and contribute to good cooperation and a positive group dynamic. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education from the Health and Care Program with courses in social pedagogy and special pedagogy 2, or the Child and Leisure Program, specializing in social work, with courses in basic care and support, special pedagogy 1 and special pedagogy 2.
• Approved grades in Swedish 1 and social studies at the high school level.
• Experience in the field of operations.

You are flexible, proactive, and have a good ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and respect. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Documentation is done digitally, which requires good computer skills and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A B driver's license is a requirement.
