Tanum Municipality is looking for support assistants for Berget and Klippan group homes

The positions are permanent with an employment rate of 50, 80, and 100 percent. Based on the needs of the operation, work will take place at both group homes. Start immediately or as agreed.

In Tanum Municipality, Berget and Klippan are group homes with special services according to LSS, aimed at adults with disabilities. The accommodation consists of 12 apartments. We are now looking for a new employee who, together with us, will contribute to a good quality of life for our residents.

Job Responsibilities

The fundamental work in the role of habilitation staff is to create meaning, independence, and personal development for the residents of the group home. Through a pedagogical and creative approach, we strive to promote the residents' quality of life, with an active and meaningful everyday life tailored to the individual needs and circumstances of the residents. The tasks vary depending on the resident's health, functional ability, needs, and individual intentions. You will follow established work routines, participate in collaboration, operational, and workplace meetings, be engaged in moving the operation forward, and promote cooperation and good group dynamics in the workplace. Working hours vary between daytime, weekend, and evening shifts.

Qualifications

Educational requirements include the Health and Care Program with courses in “social pedagogy” and “special pedagogy 2” or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social work, including courses in “basic health and care,” “special pedagogy 1,” and “special pedagogy 2.” Additionally, a passing grade in Swedish 1 and social studies at the high school level is required.

You should have experience working in the field. The work is varied, which requires you to have great empathy, initiative, flexibility, and patience. You should have a good ability to handle difficult situations while maintaining a strong belief in people's capacity for change and development. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We expect you to have a professional approach towards our target group. Documentation and administrative tasks are computerized, so it is important that you have good computer skills and can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A B driver's license is required.
