Now you have the chance to join us at the medical care department 61 at Hallands Hospital Halmstad, focusing on pulmonology and hematology. About the workplace

In Pulmonology, we care for patients with lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumothorax, lung infections, and sleep-related breathing problems. We also manage some technical equipment such as thoracic drains and bilevel.

In Hematology, we care for patients with blood cancer and other blood disorders. We do everything from investigations to inpatient chemotherapy treatment. An important part of the work is supportive treatment such as transfusions, infection treatment, and management of central lines.

Within the unit, both emergency care and palliative care are provided. Patients come to us via the emergency department or through open return.

For us, it is important to work with person-centered care with the patient in focus, which is why good teamwork between different professional groups is essential.

In department 61, we value personal development and create individual development plans based on your interests and needs.

Qualifications

Our expectations for you as an applicant are that you, in addition to being a licensed nurse, are engaged, positive, and forward-thinking. We prefer that you have worked for a year or so to feel secure working nights. You have a genuine interest in working with people and are stimulated by challenges. An important prerequisite for everyone to thrive in the workplace is good and close cooperation among colleagues; here we expect you to also be active and work towards achieving that. As a person, you are flexible, responsible, and solution-focused. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
