Specialist Physician/Senior Physician in Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Södertälje Hospital:

We offer a broad, interesting, and developing professional role. Södertälje Hospital has a catchment area of 230,000 citizens. As a physician in the AnOpIVA department, you will be an important part of the work with elective and acute surgery as well as the management and treatment of critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit (category 2). Additionally, you will support obstetric care, which has now grown to about 2500 deliveries per year. As a specialist physician/senior physician in AnOpIVA, on-call duty and standby are included in the employment. You are expected to take a leading and active role in the development of care.

We have one of Stockholm's finest operating departments with cutting-edge technology and the best available in terms of hygiene, ventilation, and media solutions. The operating department includes eight operating rooms, each 57 square meters, plus preparation rooms, and is built with modular solutions for future flexibility. We have large windows, a bright and beautiful environment with thoughtful graphic design. The surgical operations include elective, acute, and day surgery with newly developed fast tracks. In the SPOR quality register, we are among the best, and our ambition is to always be among the top in Sweden.

The Intensive Care Unit at Södertälje Hospital is a high-tech unit with six places for intensive, intermediate, and postoperative care. We are in constant development within technical and evidence-based care.

The AnOpIVA department includes, in addition to OP and ICU, a sterile unit, a day surgery center, and a leading pain management unit in Sweden.

You are a specialist physician in anesthesia and intensive care with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare.

Employment Type:

Specialist physician. Permanent, full-time. The degree of employment can be discussed. A probationary period may be applied.
