Habo parish, located by the shore of Lake Vättern, about 15 km northwest of Jönköping, consists of three active and well-functioning congregations with many meeting places for both children and adults.

Habo is an expanding municipality with well-developed local services and the opportunity to live a good life close to nature and outdoor activities. Many families with children live in our municipality, which has about 13,700 inhabitants, of which approximately 8,400 are church members. In the parish with Habo, Gustav Adolfs, and Brandstorp congregations, we are a team of 26 employees working around four churches and one chapel. The parish has four cemeteries with different characters and ages.

Our activities are broad, and we have a vibrant worship life with many church services, a stable economy, well-maintained buildings and cemeteries, and not least, engaged employees, both paid and voluntary. We are looking for a church caretaker for internal and external duties. This means work in the cemeteries and service during church services. You must be able to show reverence and respect for all work during services, baptisms, weddings, and funerals in the church space.

The position includes, among other things:

• Maintenance and care of green areas and cemeteries, including mowing, trimming, planting, and you will also assist with grave digging.
• Service during church services and church activities.
• Maintenance and care of churches and activity premises, including cleaning and possibly minor repairs, etc.

We are looking for someone who:

• is over 18 years old.
• has a B driver's license.
• is service-oriented and responsible.
• has knowledge and experience in green area maintenance, planting, and basic service of machinery and vehicles.
• is a member of the Church of Sweden and shares its values.
• master the Swedish language in speech and writing.

Experience in on-call duty and a driver's license for wheel loaders are advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is technically and practically inclined as you will handle sound systems, machinery, and tools. You have an unpretentious attitude towards various tasks and can work independently while also enjoying working in a team. The work is partly strenuous and requires good physical condition.

Conditions

The position is full-time and includes working hours during the day, evenings, and weekends, as well as on-call duty.

Salary

Monthly salary according to agreement.
