We are looking for a mechanic for Metsä Tissue in Pauliström.

Do you want to be part of a large company with well-known brands and knowledgeable colleagues? We are now looking for a dedicated person with skills in maintenance and mechanics. Metsä offers many opportunities for employees interested in developing sustainable products and our operations. The position is a permanent employment with placement in Pauliström. We apply a probationary period.

What will your role be at Metsä?

As a mechanic, you will work at both the paper mill and the converting area. Your tasks will include service, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and assisting with renovations and manufacturing of various constructions. You will also assist with trimming and optimizing machinery as well as participate in improvement work within your area of responsibility. On-call duty according to a schedule is also part of the employment.

You will be based in Pauliström but will work with our wonderful team in the maintenance departments in Pauliström and Nyboholm, Kvillsfors.

What are we looking for?

• We are looking for someone with a high school education in industrial technology or practical experience as a mechanic
• Good knowledge or experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
• Assembly and welding
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license B

Meritorious

• Reading technical drawings
• Documentation
• Experience in leadership

As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and take great responsibility for your tasks. Furthermore, you are structured, stress-resistant, self-driven, and contribute to your own and the maintenance department's competence development. Good collaboration skills combined with a results-oriented approach give you a good foundation to succeed in the role.
