Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of melting furnaces as well as casting iron according to the applicable quality, safety, and production requirements. The position is central to the operation and aims to ensure that the correct alloy, temperature, and process time are achieved to deliver high-quality castings.

Responsibilities:

Work on continuous improvements.
Start, monitor, and regulate two melting furnaces.
Measure temperature and take analyses of the melt.
Perform sampling and add alloying materials as needed.
Carry out manual casting.
Check and act on quality outcomes and deviations.
Perform daily checks and maintenance of furnaces and auxiliary equipment.
Report faults and repair needs in the maintenance system.
Register production data and follow quality routines.
Use personal protective equipment and follow safety instructions.
2-shift work may occur.

What GV Stars Offers

The position of Melting Operator is a full-time assignment that starts immediately through GV Stars Bemanning & Rekrytering. The assignment runs for 6 months with a good opportunity for continued employment directly with the customer after the period ends.
