When trains run smoothly through Sweden, it is not just the tracks that do the job – it is the people behind the planning, technology, and collaboration. At WSP, you will help drive some of Sweden's largest infrastructure investments while leading a team that grows and develops alongside you.

Our Offer

We work on some of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects within railways with a strong local presence. We offer you stimulating tasks where you have the opportunity to be an active part of a leading global company with a strong foothold in the Swedish market.

We are growing and have won several prominent assignments in southern and western Sweden. We are now looking for a People Lead (Group Manager) for a team of 15 employees. The group belongs to a railway department with about 50 employees in southern and western Sweden. The group has mixed expertise across different disciplines, and we work on everything from functional investigations, location studies, railway plans, system documents, construction documents to construction site follow-up.

At WSP's national railway section, we work together for a common technology and competence development. To enable this, all employees have both a local group affiliation with mixed competencies and a national group for each discipline. The projects we work on are both large and small, and we work broadly in terms of technology within ground, track, electricity, telecommunication, signaling, cabling, project management, investigations, and other railway-specific areas.

Some examples of assignments we are working on include the location study Maria-Helsingborg, Sydostlänken, the yard in Sävenäs and Laxå, contact line refurbishment Alvesta, Hallsberg-Stenkumla, and Kinnekullebanan. We are also involved in several assignments on Norrbotniabanan, Uppsala tramway, four tracks Uppsala, Nobelbanan, and ERTMS Malmbanan.

About the Position

As a People Lead (Group Manager), you are responsible for coaching, engaging, and supporting employees in their daily work. You have personnel responsibility and are therefore responsible for the employees' work environment, competence, and development. You contribute to securing the group's competence supply, establishing and maintaining customer relationships, and working with bids.

You spend most of your time being active in client assignments, in a role as a leading consultant in railway assignments. In the assignments, much of the development of both technology, business, and employees takes place. We therefore believe that you are a person who is driven by working on interesting projects and by developing and interacting with other people.

In this leadership role, you work to create conditions for your employees so that they can do their best work while developing and enjoying their jobs.

Together with the department's management team, we work according to set strategies to stimulate a trusting and creative work climate. Within the department, we work closely together and can thus utilize our combined expertise and experience.

The position is located in Malmö.

Qualifications

You are driven to inspire and develop your team and have several years of experience leading technical consultants in the railway field, either in the role of assignment or project manager, or as a technical manager, or as a manager. We also see that you have experience with contract and procurement issues and experience working on railway assignments from the consulting side.

You are confident in your leadership, have a good business sense, and are a good communicator, used to communicating strategies, changes, and decisions clearly. You see clear communication as a natural part of your working method and are inspired by the success of others. We also see that you are used to leading and distributing tasks within a project group.

Are you an experienced leader but new in a role with personnel responsibility? No worries - we will provide you with the support you need!

As our daily customer contact and the documents we deliver are in Swedish, it is important that you can express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing.

Application Deadline

Welcome with your application by January 31. During the Christmas and upcoming holidays, the selection process may take longer, so feedback may be delayed.
