Åvestadalskolan 7-9 is part of the municipality's southern school area and is located in Krylbo, close to beautiful nature and outdoor areas. The school has a broad catchment area where the school's more than 360 students reflect the society we live in and represent the diversity that is our common future - A school in the heart of the world. The school actively engages in inclusion and value-based work both preventively and reactively. Åvestadalskolan has a high teacher qualification rate, good collegial learning, and a well-functioning student health team. The school has an established positive school culture with good collaboration within both subject teams and work teams, with the student's learning at the center. The school has undergone extensive renovations of both indoor and outdoor environments, and we are proud to work in new, fresh premises adapted to today's requirements for a good school environment.

Being a resource educator in the school group means functioning as a support function for the operation and includes tasks that are supportive and create safety for the school's students, as well as tasks that relieve pedagogical staff. In your role as a resource educator in the school group, you strive to create a school situation where all students can succeed based on their conditions. You are part of the school's Student Health Team and play an important role there. You support and offer students in need of support the adjustments they need either individually or in groups, individually or in classroom situations. This may involve support around relationships, difficulties in maintaining attention and planning their work at school, or challenges in interacting with other people. You collaborate with teachers and coach other staff regarding work with students in need of behavioral support. You are also responsible for creating good relationships with guardians and any other actors around the student, such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, police, etc. You are also an important person during breaks and are part of the school's safety team. In this role, you are responsible for creating activities for safety and well-being for the school's students in consultation with colleagues and the student council, such as theme days, break activities, and similar. The school group is also responsible for handling, investigating, following up, and documenting cases of harassment. The position also includes pedagogical lunches.
