Ekgården
Ekgården is a municipal nursing home located centrally in Ekerö. Here we offer care, support, and services with a professional approach in a safe and stimulating environment. The facility has 59 places. All meals are prepared in our own kitchen. In spring 2026, Ekgården's nursing home will move to completely new premises at Träkvista Square.
Söderströmsgården
Söderströmsgården is a municipal nursing home in Stenhamra center. We offer care and support with a focus on safety and joy in everyday life, using digital solutions to support both staff and residents. The facility has 63 places. All meals are prepared in our own kitchen.

Job Description

Do you want to work in a special housing facility where quality, person-centered care, and teamwork are at the center? We are currently looking for an engaged physiotherapist for our facility for people with dementia diagnoses and individuals with extensive care needs.
The position involves working as a physiotherapist at Söderströmsgården's special housing, which is certified according to Silviahemmet's care philosophy. You will work closely with occupational therapists and colleagues at Ekgården's special housing, with plenty of room for personal responsibility and professional judgment.
As a physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing residents' functional abilities and fall risks, working preventively and supportively to maintain functions, as well as setting goals and implementing or delegating treatment measures. You will also trial and prescribe assistive devices and guide and educate staff in areas such as transfer techniques and assistive device management.
Your work will also include documentation, incident management, and risk prevention in collaboration with other professionals. You will participate in team meetings and collaborate with internal and external actors to create safety and conditions for an active and dignified life for the residents.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a Swedish license as a physiotherapist or physical therapist
- Preferably has experience in elderly care (meritorious)
- Is results-oriented and has the individual's best interests in focus
- Is relationship-building and values good communication
- Has an easy time collaborating and is solution-oriented
- Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.

To be employed by Ekerö Municipality in elderly care, you must present an extract (HVB) from the police's criminal record along with valid photo identification before employment. You can request the extract on the police's website. The extract must not be older than six months from the date of issue.
