Workplace Description

At Södersjukhuset, operations are organized into five modules with approximately six operating rooms per module.

Both Module 1 and Module 2 conduct highly specialized elective and emergency operations in state-of-the-art operating rooms.

Module 1 focuses on elective surgery in breast surgery, colorectal surgery, ENT, and urology, including open surgery, laparoscopy, transurethral procedures, and robotic surgery.

Module 2 specializes in highly specialized hand surgery and orthopedics for hand and foot, including surgery for adults and children with congenital anomalies, cerebral palsy, and plexus injuries.

Job Responsibilities

As an operating room nurse, you will work in a team in the operating room alongside a nursing assistant/operating room nurse, surgeon, and anesthetist. You will be responsible for instrumentation and perioperative care. You will also participate in departmental work outside the operating room and may have a specific area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse with specialized training in operating room nursing.
• Good ability to work independently and in a team, as well as a positive and stable attitude.
