Do you want to contribute to high-quality medical research? Our research group studies immune markers in the female genital mucosa and their role in susceptibility to sexually transmitted infections.
We use advanced molecular biological techniques to investigate samples from human mucosa.
Your Role
The tasks include experimental handling of human mucosal samples, which includes immunohistochemical staining, scanning, and quantitative evaluation. You will also perform data processing of these results focusing on the quantification of phenotypic cell markers complemented by structural markers.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Requirements:
- Knowledge and practical experience in analyzing systems biology data in R and translating this data into tables and figures for scientific publication.
- Knowledge and practical experience in immunohistochemical staining of tissue biopsies, scanning, image analysis, and data processing of these data.

- Experience in preparing, dissecting, and culturing cells from human tissue material.

Placement
The position is located within https://ki.se/meds (https://ki.se/meds). The department consists of ten divisions, and each division consists of several research groups. The current position is placed within the Broliden research group at the Department of Infectious Diseases.
