The highly specialized care offers services to patients from all over the country.

The unit has a high staff density and a team-based approach. Patients with conditions such as EIPS, PTSD, Autism, and Eating Disorders are treated at the unit. The unit has been operational for almost two years. The staff consists of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, and social workers. The working method is permeated by Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and all staff receive both training and supervision in the method. Other tasks included in the unit's mission are to function as a knowledge center and offer guidance and training as well as conduct research.

NHV consists of an outpatient part (day care) and a full-time care part. The parts have a very close collaboration. The operation is centrally located in the old Karolinska hospital area in Solna, Visionsgatan 70a. The Solna psychiatric reception, Mobile Emergency Unit MAK, OCD Unit, Affective Reception, and Borderline Unit are also located in the building. During the year, NHV will move to premises at Danderyd Hospital.

We are now looking for a licensed physician interested in working in psychiatry, placed in the day care part of NHV.

Treatment at the NHV unit is based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). As a physician, you will be part of our DBT team and will closely collaborate with the medically responsible physician (MLA), unit manager, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and nursing assistants.

The working hours at NHV's day care are weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

You are a licensed physician with a genuine interest in working in psychiatry. You enjoy working in a team and with evidence-based psychiatric diagnostics and treatment. Experience in research and development work is an advantage. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, responsiveness, commitment, and sound clinical judgment, who finds satisfaction in patient interactions and in collaborating with other staff categories to provide the best possible care to each patient. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment form

Full-time temporary position, 40 hours/week. Start date according to agreement.

  • registration control is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for registration control at employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
