In Sundbyberg's child and student health services, school nurses, school doctors, school psychologists, counselors, and special educators work together. We are located in a central unit but have our workplaces distributed across our various schools. Within student health, we strive to work preventively and health-promoting. Together with other staff in the school, we work to create a good environment for both students' knowledge development and personal development. We are now looking for a new school doctor. The position is part-time.

As a school doctor, you will work within the medical services of student health in our municipal schools. Our operations include 7 primary schools, 1 adapted primary school, 1 resource school, and 1 high school. You will have close collaboration with the school nurses and regularly conduct school doctor appointments. To thrive in the role of school doctor, we see that you have a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents. We also see that you have a commitment to health-promoting and preventive measures, as well as working with medical assessments regarding individual students and their families. As support in your work and for documentation, we use the medical record system Prorenata.

This is what we are looking for in you

You are a licensed physician with specialist training in pediatrics, general medicine, and/or child and adolescent psychiatry. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a school doctor.

You are collaborative and enjoy working within interdisciplinary teams where you create trust and good relationships through your attentiveness. As a person, you are also structured, engaged, and take independent responsibility for your work. You have good communication skills. You have good IT skills and can express yourself clearly and correctly in both speech and writing. We place great importance on your personal suitability and ability to be flexible and collaborate well. You should be open to changes and able to work under varying loads.

The position is a permanent employment with a part-time schedule. Start date is April 1 or by agreement. Apply by January 27. We do not accept applications via email.

A large part of our operations is classified as essential services. The position may be subject to military placement within the framework of Sundbyberg's role in total defense.
