About the position

At Pediatric Ward 9, inpatient care is offered for children and adolescents aged 0-18 years. The department is highly specialized in several medical areas such as cardiology, infectious and general pediatrics, endocrine and metabolic diseases, diabetes, lung and allergic diseases, and elective head and neck surgery.

With us, the child is always in focus, and the department has, among other things, a university nurse specializing in children's rights and trained children's rights representatives who help monitor the rights of children and adolescents within healthcare.

In your role as a nurse, you will undergo continuous education focusing on core competencies and patient safety. Collaboration within the team is of utmost importance, and we strive to create a safe environment together. You will work in pair care and be part of interprofessional teams focusing on highly specialized care with the child at the center to ensure the best possible care.

Your tasks as a nurse include both acute and planned care. This includes common nursing tasks such as medication administration, preparation for examinations, care planning, and sampling.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is outgoing and socially active in professional contexts. You create contacts and maintain relationships.
  • Is calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You have the interest, will, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.
  • Communicates clearly. You ensure that messages reach their destination and that expectations are clear for the parties involved, as well as reminding and following up.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse.

Meritorious:

  • Specialist education in pediatrics or similar.
  • Previous work in pediatric care or health care.
