Warm welcome to us at Ålstens Montessori Preschool. The preschool is an independent institution located in a spacious villa from the 1920s with a lovely garden. The preschool is close to the waters of Mälaren and green areas as well as the Nockebybanan tram line.

We put children at the center, and our versatile activities create opportunities for each child to develop and find their interests. Our operations are based on Montessori pedagogy and Lpfö18.

At the preschool, there are 35 children in two departments; Pärlan for ages 1-3 and Rosa Tornet for ages 3-5.

We are looking for someone who wants to work with our youngest children in preschool, who wants to engage and continue to develop the high pedagogical level according to Montessori pedagogy and Lpfö 18.

Job Responsibilities

As a Montessori educator, your mission in the preschool will be to promote children's development and learning based on the Montessori principles that permeate our operations. This requires that you are well-versed in the preschool curriculum, in Montessori pedagogy, understand your mission, and are involved in planning and evaluating the education.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who...

- is a trained Montessori educator with many years of experience working in Montessori preschools and is passionate about the pedagogy. You will be responsible for the Montessori activities in the younger children's department.

-has a childcare education

-actively contributes to the preschool's pedagogical work with joy and commitment. Your focus is on the children's best interests

-is passionate about children's development and learning

-is confident in yourself and appreciates a calm work environment

-has a good ability to communicate with children, colleagues, and guardians

-has experience in conducting development talks and pedagogical documentation

-has an eye for “order” and the little extra. We care about a beautiful and well-maintained indoor environment

-has good computer skills

-communicates very well in spoken and written Swedish.

About the Position

-The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period.

-A part-time position, 75%.

-You will have nice colleagues who care about a good working climate. We have a close collaboration between educators and the principal.

Barnens MontessoriAkademi AB (the main organization) offers wellness grants, work clothes, further education, and pedagogical meals.

Collective agreements are in place.
