Description
We are now looking for an experienced lawyer who can contribute strategically to our important work as a supervisory authority over the laws on public procurement and the laws on choice systems.
The Swedish Competition Authority has about 25 employees who work with supervision, litigation, and analysis in the procurement area. You will be placed in one of our two procurement supervision units but will work strategically with procurement issues across unit boundaries.
Responsibilities
As legal management support, you will be involved in ensuring that the Swedish Competition Authority's investigations are conducted efficiently. You will quality assure your colleagues' work, work with consultation responses, policy issues, and EU matters, as well as other strategic materials for management. You will work closely and report to the unit manager. You will participate in a continuous improvement process regarding strategic priorities based on the authority's set goals, effective working methods, knowledge building, and knowledge management. You will create well-functioning contact points towards the rest of the organization and provide support to other units in procurement law matters. You will participate in the Swedish Competition Authority's external information work on procurement supervision.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic law degree, excellent knowledge of procurement law issues from many years of experience in qualified legal work, a high level of legal professionalism, and a very good ability to express yourself clearly and understandably in both spoken and written Swedish.
You are quality-conscious, analytical, and have good collaboration skills. You are flexible and have a desire to develop and grow in line with the changes in the organization. You have a high work capacity and the ability to prioritize. You have experience working with procurement issues from a strategic perspective.
It is an advantage if you have experience leading others in their work, e.g., as a project manager. Experience in court work or work at the Government Offices is also an advantage. Experience in other relevant legal areas such as EU law, contract law, and administrative law is also beneficial.
