Responsibilities
As an operational buyer, your tasks may vary depending on the client's needs, but some of the most common responsibilities include:
- Placing and following up on purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintaining daily contact with suppliers to manage orders, delivery schedules, and any deviations.
- Analyzing purchasing data and working on improvements in cost and inventory management.
- Ensuring that purchases comply with agreements and terms.
- Supporting internal teams with procurement-related questions and information.
- Identifying and managing any risks in the supply chain.
Qualifications
- You have experience as an operational buyer or a similar role in procurement.
- You are structured, meticulous, and used to handling multiple parallel tasks.
- You have good communication skills and are adept at building relationships with suppliers.
- You have experience working with procurement systems, such as SAP, Dynamics, or similar.
- You can work as an employed consultant with us or as a subcontractor through your own company.
