About the position:

REMONDIS is embarking on an exciting journey to develop its purchasing department and is therefore looking for a new colleague. We are seeking a buyer with experience in both operational and strategic work who is driven to find improvements and lead projects. Here, you will take on the role of an expert and guide an organization that wants to streamline and optimize its resources.

At REMONDIS, you will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating environment with great potential to influence both current and future purchasing activities. You will be part of a small but competent team that has gathered central specialist functions. Together, you will support and develop the operational business.

You will become the organization’s expert in purchasing to drive projects and issues related to cost savings, efficiency, and strategic resource utilization. Currently, there are no established processes, routines, or systems, making your ability to build structure and develop tools crucial. You will drive change by identifying areas for improvement and showing the organization which activities need to be carried out to optimize purchasing efforts and save costs. Given the broad scope of the role and responsibilities, it requires you to be pragmatic and humble regarding the tasks that need to be done.

Examples of what you will do:

• Develop policies, guidelines, strategies, and working methods for purchasing and suppliers.
• Continuously analyze the market, suppliers, and the company's needs.
• Lead and/or participate in all parts of the purchasing processes such as conducting needs analysis, preparing request for proposals, evaluating bids, negotiating, and writing contracts.
• Continuously monitor REMONDIS's purchasing costs and thereby identify and drive improvement projects aimed at reducing these.
• Support the business by nurturing, following up, and evaluating supplier performance, and taking action and/or making complaints as needed.
• Work to monitor and ensure that suppliers meet REMONDIS's environmental and sustainability requirements.
• Develop and manage REMONDIS's working methods and tools for supplier evaluation.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a relevant university degree, for example in economics, law, engineering, or another relevant field, and has at least 5 years of experience in strategic and operational purchasing work.
• Has good knowledge of the purchasing process, business analysis, project management, negotiation techniques, and communication. We assume that you enjoy driving processes, are proactive, and self-sufficient in your work.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in project-based work and experience from the recycling industry is a plus.

To succeed, you need to be analytically strong, action-oriented, and skilled at building relationships, even with stakeholders who have varying levels of change readiness. About the employment:

This is a recruitment where you will be directly employed by REMONDIS. Negotiation of employment terms will therefore take place between you and the employer.
