The Adult Psychiatry Area (VO) in Kristianstad provides outpatient care in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Simrishamn, and Ystad. The emergency department and all inpatient care are located in Kristianstad. For residents of Ystad, Skurup, and Sjöbo, inpatient care and emergency services are offered in Malmö and Lund. Our catchment area includes the northeastern and southeastern municipalities of Skåne, with a total of about 300,000 people. We have a good collaboration with the municipalities through cooperation meetings and care planning. Despite a large geographical spread, our operations are characterized by proximity and short decision-making paths.

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Ystad is a well-functioning, fully staffed, and stable operation where we care for both each other and our patients. We assess and treat patients with affective disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, as well as various forms of personality disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions. We work with a stepwise and individually tailored treatment both in groups and individually to meet the patients' needs. With us, you will meet about 50 employees with a genuine interest in providing our patients with the best possible care. We work in interdisciplinary specialist teams to collectively meet the patient's needs. The teams consist of doctors, psychologists, nurses, caregivers/therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, and social workers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome ST doctors with placement in Ystad.

As an ST doctor, you will receive:

• Good supervision weekly, as a natural part of your work.
• Experienced colleagues with long clinical experience who assist with clinical supervision.
• To be part of interdisciplinary teams together with colleagues who have high competence in their fields.
• Joint doctor meetings every week where you get the opportunity for internal training sessions and discussions about complex patient cases.
• Good opportunities to participate in various types of development work.
• Twice per semester, meet exclusively with other ST doctors.
• Participate in local ST training approximately once a month.
• Your own secretary and a private room during clinical service.
• A broad patient clientele which provides extensive knowledge.
• A doctor-friendly management and a pleasant staff.

Our operation has its own ST doctors and its own study director. All side placements occur in Malmö or by agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. Furthermore, we see that you have completed or are about to complete your general or basic training. Experience working in psychiatry is considered an advantage. Additionally, experience with Melior, Medspeech, and/or Pascal is advantageous.

You have a strong patient focus, a good ethical approach, and good communication skills. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills while being able to work independently and make your own decisions. You are unpretentious and want to contribute to our open and good work climate.
