Workplace Description

Bromma City District Administration is one of the city's eleven districts. Bromma is located near central Stockholm and by Lake Mälaren with its beautiful green nature. The elderly care applies full-time as the norm with the possibility of working part-time. You will have your main workplace at the unit, but the employment means that you will perform work at various locations within Bromma's other municipal home care areas within the elderly care department.

Bromma Home Care provides services to approximately 830 users and has three units - Blackebergs Home Care, Tranebergs Home Care, and Västerleds Home Care.

We are now looking for new employees for Blackebergs Home Care, permanent positions and hourly substitutes.

Job Description

As a care assistant, you will provide good care, social support, and service efforts to the elderly according to decisions from the assistance officer. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional ability and assist with the care recipients' social contacts. You will be responsible for ensuring that the elderly participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering the elderly opportunities for outdoor activities. You will also have contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. You are also expected to follow the routines and regulations that exist at the workplace.

Qualifications

You must have a protected professional title as a care assistant. You should have worked in care and support for at least 1-3 years. You should have experience in documentation. You should have experience in the profession.

You should also be service-oriented and responsive to the needs of care recipients. You value differences and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect oneself and others in various ways. You have good collaboration skills and are happy to share your own knowledge and experiences while being open to learning from others. You have empathy in your interactions with others and a genuine interest in working in the profession. You are expected to be flexible, as the work requires it.

Scheduled working hours - We provide services during the day, evening, and weekends. We walk, cycle (regular and electric), and drive cars. Cycling experience is a requirement. A driving license is an advantage.
