About the position

Within the section for Neuro, intensive care, cardiovascular, and emergency care, there are occupational therapists and physiotherapists who meet patients in both inpatient and outpatient care. We are now looking for an occupational therapist for our neurology inpatient care. Here you will meet engaged and knowledgeable colleagues and have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and multidisciplinary work environment.

As an occupational therapist, you will be part of a team where you contribute your expertise to meet the patient's needs for assessment and treatment, which may include work in inpatient care, rehabilitation, day care, and outpatient clinics. You will be an important resource for patients in team efforts regarding the assessment of neurological deficits, treatment of patients with complex neurological and neuromuscular diseases, and a part of the patient's investigation in continued treatment planning. You will also support patients through the assessment and provision of assistive devices as well as planning for discharge. You will work closely with the patient, focusing on ensuring as much mobility and quality of life as possible for each individual.

Supervision of students is a natural part of your role. Your tasks will also include contributing to the development of care programs and workflows based on evidence and patient needs.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a clear interest in patients with various neurological diseases and wants to work in a highly specialized hospital where the pace is fast and tasks are varied
  • enjoys working together with others. You relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively
  • has experience in independently assessing, guiding, and treating patients with neurological issues
  • can easily adapt to changing circumstances. Can quickly change their perspective and approach. Sees opportunities in changes
  • takes initiative, starts activities, and achieves results.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in inpatient or outpatient care with neurological patients
  • Master's degree and/or specialist competence in neurology.
