Unit Manager for Material Administration at Sisjödepån in Gothenburg

The Supply Management Administration is a department within the Västra Götaland Region.

The operations are conducted throughout Västra Götaland with a focus on supply and logistics for the region's various activities. We develop and deliver services in meals, laundry, pharmaceutical-related products, and aids, as well as storing and distributing products.

We are now looking for a unit manager for the Material Administration unit at Sisjödepån in Gothenburg. Welcome with your application by January 25.

About the position

As the unit manager for Material Administration, you will ensure, together with your team, a good service and delivery to our customers. You will have overall responsibility for operations and finances, as well as personnel responsibility for 12 employees working in customer service, procurement, and MiV support.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with several operations within the Västra Götaland Region (VGR), including Group Purchasing regarding procurement and Internal Logistics regarding materials in healthcare (MiV). You will report to the department manager and represent the unit in the department's management group and at local management meetings at Sisjödepån. In addition to process leaders and fellow managers, you will have support from an HR and finance function.

Your main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the unit's daily operations and delivery
• Personnel and work environment responsibility
• Responsible for the unit's finances and budget work
• Develop structure and working methods that contribute to increased efficiency and quality for the unit
• Responsible for competence supply and development within the unit

Your placement will be at Sisjödepån in Gothenburg.

About us

The Area of Warehouse and Distribution is responsible for ensuring a robust and cohesive storage and distribution of consumables and pharmaceuticals as part of the department's mission for the Västra Götaland Region and its residents. The area also has overall responsibility for the department's external transport. The area is newly created, under construction, and is facing a development journey both in terms of personnel and organization. We are working to develop a process-oriented approach to best supply our partners throughout the entire production and ultimately through the entire supply chain.

Within the Material Administration department, we are a total of about 40 employees divided into two units located in Gothenburg and Skövde. The department operates in close collaboration with other departments within the Warehouse and Distribution area.

About you

We are looking for someone with previous experience as a manager with responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel (VEP). You have a university degree in logistics, economics, or administration, or equivalent professional experience as assessed by the employer. To succeed and thrive in this role, you need to have experience and knowledge of administrative structures and working methods within customer service/support, purchasing, and financial administration.

In addition to formal qualifications, we place great importance on personal suitability. As a leader, you are secure, stable, and present, and you care about creating good relationships with both your team and other operations within VGR. You have the ability to listen to others and the courage to address issues professionally. For you, it is important to promote a good work environment and long-term development.

About the recruitment process
