Consultant Psychiatrist at Forensic Psychiatry Care Stockholm

Forensic Psychiatry Care Stockholm (RPV) is Sweden's largest forensic psychiatric clinic.

We are currently looking to expand our team of consultants at Section North in Upplands Väsby (Löwenströmska Hospital). Here, there are seven inpatient wards with integrated outpatient care. The ongoing renovation will soon result in SLSO's most modern psychiatric facilities.

Patients include those with psychotic disorders, affective syndromes, brain injuries, or severe neuropsychiatric issues. Often, there is comorbidity with personality disorders and substance use. Lengths of stay are usually measured in years rather than weeks or months. This provides an opportunity to take a comprehensive approach and truly make a difference.

As a consultant psychiatrist, you will lead the medical-psychiatric work. You will conduct diagnostics, treatment, and risk assessments in collaboration with psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and nursing staff. On-call duties are included in the position. Research is encouraged, as is further education to become a specialist in forensic psychiatry.

Qualifications

Licensed physician with specialist competence in psychiatry. Experience in forensic psychiatry is an advantage.

Personal Qualities

You work in a structured manner, feel secure in your professional role, and are confident in making decisions. You maintain a professional attitude and good judgment even in pressured situations. You strive for good communication and collaboration with both colleagues and patients. You set aside preconceived notions and approach new situations with curiosity and humility.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

What Can We Offer You?

Here, you will find a challenging and stimulating job with room for both personal and professional development. Collegial support and training are important elements of the organization, which is why thorough introduction and experienced mentorship are promised.

We offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely to some extent. As an employer, we care about our employees' health and offer, among other things, wellness hours and an annual wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK.

Other

Healthcare is based on respect for human dignity. All people have equal value and the same rights regardless of personal characteristics and functions in society. We expect that you, as an employee with us, share these values.
