Alströmerhemmet care and nursing home is centrally located near Fridhemsplan on Kungsholmen and offers care and support primarily to people over 65 years old.

Those living at Alströmerhemmet have a varied need for both simple and more qualified rehabilitation interventions.

Kungsholmen is part of one of Stockholm's four academic nodes that conduct evidence-based care and support, where the ambition is for research to be an integrated part of daily work.

Your role

As a physiotherapist, you are an important part of our interdisciplinary team and contribute with your specialist competence to ensure that our elderly receive person-centered and function-preserving interventions. Your tasks include assessing functional ability, planning, and executing interventions based on individual needs. It also includes conducting transfer training together with an occupational therapist and educating and mentoring staff to support a health-promoting approach.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist with experience working with the elderly.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Good knowledge of the city’s documentation system, Vodok, as well as previous experience of responsibility for digital alarm systems.
• Good knowledge of diseases with elements of cognitive impairment.
• Good ability to work interdisciplinary.
• Experience of organizational changes.

To work with Stockholm City with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.

The Department of Elderly Care is responsible for assistance handling and various interventions that enable the elderly to have their care needs met. Here you will find care and nursing homes, service houses, family support, day activities, and home care. The administration applies full-time as the norm, and you will be employed within Kungsholmen's elderly care.
