As our colleague is retiring after many years in our department, we are now looking for a new colleague who wants to work with us.

Day Surgery is a well-functioning surgical department with three operating rooms. Here we perform both surgical and orthopedic procedures. The staff group is a stable team with close collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and orthopedic specialists, as well as surgical planners. Everyone is needed in our team! You work Monday to Friday, and as a surgical nurse, you are always offered scheduled professional development in the form of study days, lectures, and eventually, there is also the possibility to rotate to central surgery if desired. Continuous efforts are made within the organization to improve the work environment, and we actively work on recovery.

Our Employment Offer

Typical tasks for a surgical nurse. Our operations are open from Monday to Friday, and we finish a bit earlier. We primarily perform orthopedic and surgical procedures.

About the Department

The Surgical and Urology department conducts both emergency and elective surgery and urology, as well as surgical operations in outpatient and inpatient care around the clock. We treat and care for patients primarily from Stockholm County, but also from outside the county and international patients with surgical or urological diseases. Patients are cared for in several different specialist clinics, two surgical departments, and four care departments with different specialty areas: colorectal surgery, surgery of the upper gastrointestinal tract, bariatric surgery, liver tumors, and urology. About 460 employees work here.
